In America The early performances of Maureen FitzSimons (who we know as Maureen O'Hara) would definitely be in the category of child prodigies. For a child of Irish heritage surrounded by gifted parents and family, these were very natural traits. Maureen entered this caring haven on August 17 1920 in Ranelagh (a suburb within Dublin), Ireland. Marguerita Lu. FitzSimons was a successful contralto. Charles FitzSimons ran a Dublin company, and also held shares of the Irish Shamrock Rovers, a soccer team. Maureen FitzSimons is the 2nd FitzSimons kid. Peggy FitzSimons Florrie Charles B. Fitzsimons Margot Fitzsimons James O'Hara made up this family. Maureen was a great athlete and participated in rough, competitive games when she was young. The combination of this naturally-born interest with her ability for performing was remarkable. As a result, she won the majority of the Feis Awards for her dramatic and acting performances in her home country. At the age of 14, the Abbey Theater accepted her and permitted her to pursue her dream in classical theater and opera singing.
