Maureen Denise McCormick born 5th August 1956 Woodland Hills California, youngest daughter and sole child daughter of Richard McCormick. Her father taught at school, as did her mother, who was a homemaker. Michael Dennis Kevin is her the third of her siblings. From a young stage of life, McCormick was a singer and dance and would often perform puppet shows for kids in the community. In the year she turned 6years old, she won the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest. Pat Domigan from the Jack Wormser Agency then called her and asked whether the actress was interested in a career in showbusiness. McCormick was commissioned to perform in her first big performance in 1964 on a tv commercial for Mattels new doll, Baby Pattaburp. The commercial was re-run in 1964 for the Mattels Chatty Cathy toy and soon was chosen to play the main character in The Wind It Up and It breaks, a production at La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick auditioned for the part of the oldest daughter in the three towheaded girls on The Brady Bunch. The show starred Florence Henderson, Robert Reed and a new blended family. The show lasted for five years. McCormick, in her book Heres the Story Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice Published in 2008 McCormick told of how in the 5th season of the show, she was close to losing her the love of her life to her sister Barry Williams. The actress was only 16 when she was in the scene while he was. The woman said it might have been feasible, but we didn't have the proper moment to make the decision.
